This vine-like piece, standing at a striking 9’6″, gracefully climbs the wall, seamlessly blending the organic with the functional. Crafted with the fluidity of Stenbæk’s “eye-to-hand” process, Vinea challenges traditional boundaries of furniture design, inviting a deep, tactile engagement with its textures. Its juxtaposition of polished and steel-brushed surfaces—akin to the raw bark of a tree—imbues the piece with both tension and harmony. The sculptural form suggests a natural growth, as if it were plucked from the organic world itself. Its heavy looped base evokes a tree’s roots and its shelves are reminiscent of branches or leaves.
