Tommi Anton Parzinger (1903โ1981) was a German furniture designer and painter. Parzinger moved to New York in 1932, starting his first company in 1939. His works were collected by famous clients including Billy Baldwin, Marilyn Monroe, and a number of notable New York families.
Parzinger’s works were characterized as “high-style modernismโ which represented a โmore idiosyncratic, rarefied midcentury design.โ Parzingerโs cosmopolitan designs often referenced design styles from around the world and involved costly, labor-intensive materials and processes like brass work and lacquer.
