Samuel Abraham Marx (1885-1964) was an American architect, designer and interior decorator. He is generally considered a modernist, influenced by the International style.

Marx graduated from MIT’s Department of Architecture in 1907. As an architect, Marx designed stripped-down buildings reminiscent of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s works. Marx was respected for his aesthetic, architectural furnishings that seamlessly integrated with the design of his buildings
